Adjustment of transport costs due to diesel price developments

02 April 2026

In recent weeks, diesel prices across Europe have increased significantly due to current geopolitical developments and remain highly volatile.

This is having an exceptional impact on the transport cost component of our services. Given the unpredictable nature of these developments, an adjustment is required to appropriately reflect the current cost situation.

To address this in a fair, transparent and market-aligned manner, we are introducing a structured adjustment mechanism for the transport component of our pricing for used quality free delivered.

How the mechanism works

The adjustment is based on publicly available diesel price data from the European Commission (Weekly Oil Bulletin).

The reference point is the average diesel price of January 2026. Price developments are assessed using a rolling observation window consisting of the last two weeks of the previous month and the first two weeks of the current month.

The deviation from this reference value determines the respective adjustment of the transport cost component. Only the fuel-related share of transport costs is taken into account.

This approach ensures that price adjustments reflect actual market developments while smoothing short-term fluctuations.

First adjustment as of 1 April 2026

Based on the current development of diesel prices, the first adjustment will take effect on 1 April 2026. The specific impact depends on the respective market and will be communicated transparently to our customers.

A dynamic and fair approach

Important: This is not a one-time price increase, but a dynamic mechanism.

If diesel prices increase, the transport component will be adjusted accordingly, while decreasing prices will lead to corresponding reductions. This ensures a fair and transparent reflection of market developments over time.
